Apex 7 TKL: A Compact Mechanical Keyboard The SteelSeries Apex 7 is available with red, blue or brown switches. The only difference can be found within the keyboards: The SteelSeries Apex 7 uses common switches while the SteelSeries Apex Pro features the new OmniPoint switches which allow for flexible adjustment of the actuation distance. From the looks and the feature set, both keyboards are basically the same.
The SteelSeries Apex 7 is a cheaper variant of the SteelSeries Apex Pro.
SteelSeries Apex 7 vs SteelSeries Apex Pro The dynamic RGB illumination and the aluminum frame make the keyboard also quite nice to look at. A media key, a clickable metal roller and a small OLED display make changing settings or controlling volume and playback very convenient.
